MSI releases Core i3-based CX640, CR640 laptops…

MSI CX640 and CR640 Laptops
MSI has been quite active since the beginning of the year so we are not very surprised to discover the company rolling out the new laptop models named CX640 and CR640, running on Intel Core i3-2310M processors, both notebooks sport 15.6-inch displays, 4GB of RAM, 500GB hard drives and a pair of USB 3.0 ports each. Those hard drives are supposed to be extra-protected from drops and shocks as the disk is in the middle of the chassis and housed inside a unique casing.
MSI also assures that these C Series notebooks will boot up twice faster than standard notebooks. Presumably, MSI means notebooks in the same class. With these specifications, the CX640 and CR640 are nice, but not that far off from standard.

The major difference between these two portable machines is that the silvery CX640 hosts NVIDIA GeForce GT 520M graphics with Optimus technology, and the black CR640 uses Intel HD 3000 graphics.

Fujitsu has announced its new range of Netbook running on MeeGo Linux operating System,Esprimo MH300. The new Netbook was announced in Malaysia. The device powered with 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N455 processor features 10.1-inch display with resolution of 1024 x 600 pixel, 1GB of RAM, 250GB hard drive, 3 cell battery, and weighs about 2.4 pounds.

Intel’s E3 Xeon Processors Will be Launchd in a Week…?

Intel Xeon E3-1200 server processors for single-CPU workstations and entry-level servers were added to the official Intel price-list. This update confirms earlier reports of the Xeon E3 family launch, planned in a week. The first details of the Intel E3-1200 microprocessors emerged last October, and, as we can tell from the brief specs in the price list, they stayed without changes. Xeon E3 launch date, though, was delayed by a few weeks due to a SATA ports defect, discovered in January in Series 6 “Cougar Point” chipsets.
Intel Xeon E3 1200 Series Processors
Xeon E3-1200 is the first server-class family based on Sandy-Bridge micro-architecture. The family consists mainly from standard voltage CPUs with 80W and 95W Thermal Design Power, and it also includes 2 low-power chips, E3-1220L and E3-1260L. The first one is a dual-core 2.2 GHz HT-enabled model, that consumes only 20 Watt. The E3-1260L has higher 45 Watt TDP, although it has significantly better performance due to added features – it doubles the number of cores to 4, increases the size of L3 cache from 3 MB to 8 MB, and bumps clock frequency by 200 MHz.

4 CPU cores and 8 MB L3 cache are also common features on all standard-voltage E3 parts, with the exception of Xeon E3-1225. The 1225 SKU, that closely resembles Core i5-2500, has 6 MB L3 cache, 3.1 GHz core frequency, and on-chip graphics controller. Another entry-level processor, E3-1220, also lacks Hyper-Threading technology, while Xeon E3-1230 and higher clocked models support it. HD graphics controller, which is a standard feature on Core i5 and Core i7 consumer CPUs, is enabled only on Xeons with E3-12×5 processor numbers. All E3-1200 microprocessors require socket 1155 (socket H2) motherboards.
All Intel E3-1200 series microprocessors are compatible with motherboards built using the C200-series chipsets.
